Can I get compensation for having my email address shown in the ‘to’ line of an email sent by a large company?

A company who I had an order with sent out a bulk email to many people to explain why the orders were late. All the email addresses were shown at the top including mine, which I believe to be a breach of my privacy. They have no right to publicly leak my email address…isn’t that a breach of a privacy law?
Is there a way I can get compensation for this? If so, how?
Thanks.
Also, please don’t assume everyone is American.
When I signed up with this organisation it said third parties would not see my details…this has now been broken, there must be some action I can take. It is the principle of it more than anything.
